Why is there no shower commode chair available as it is not possible to get a person that is unable to stand or walk on to the Clos O Mat toilet. The old one you do have does not have a bucket and only has a 16 inch width seat which is not wide enough for the average wheelchair user.We were unable to make a booking this because of this.
East Anglia - Suffolk - Southwold
High Tide
High Tide is superbly located opposite Southwold Pier and the beach and accommodates up to 9 guests. The house has 4 bedrooms and 2 living areas with the large kitchen and dining area on the ground floor, plus a separate, wheelchair-accessible sitting room. A second living room is up on the first floor and includes a sea-facing balcony, designed to take advantage of the view over the Putting Green and the iconic Southwold Pier.
The single ground floor bedroom is provided with the full disability features of a Volker bed with height, tilt and angle adjustability, plus a Medicare pressure relief mattress. There is also a Felgains Invacare Ceiling Hoist (looped version) along with the tracking from the bedroom to the shower room. This wet room has a shower, optional shower table and shower chair and WC with side bars for those who may have accessibility issues. The hand basin is small for normal use but is designed to be at the correct height for wheelchair users and enables the wall-mounted shower table to fold down when required. The other ground floor bedroom has a full sized hand basin with mirror and shaving socket. It is a family-sized bedroom, having a double bed and a set of adult sized bunk beds.
The house has parking for three cars and a garden that wraps around the property, with a wheelchair accessible pathway, ramped decking and a side gate to keep the garden enclosed.

Excellent property. Second visit and still great. Opposite the pier and beach and 10-15 minutes walk/roll into Southwold which is quaint and shops pubs and coffee shops are largely inaccessible for wheelchair users. If the weather is fine great to sit outside.
The house is large with with lots of extras in the kitchen. The accessible bedroom is the smallest with not much room to manoeuvre. The ceiling hoist goes from over the bed across the hallway into a large wet room. Very small handbasin to allow for drop down shower table. Small area to shower in although doable in my own self propel showerchair. Their are 2 shower chairs here of the padded kind.
I definitely recommend this property.
