Designed and run by Bill and Thelma, Bill is a quadriplegic and always dreamed of opening a place where those in wheelchairs could vacation, alone or with their families, in comfort in a resort which met all of their needs and with activities in which everyone could participate. Villa situated in the residential area of Costa de la Calma, and yet only a walk away from the popular resort of Santa Ponsa. The garden is shady and there is a large covered terrace.

The living area and kitchen are open plan. The kitchen has space under the sink and hob to enable a disabled person in a wheelchair to use them and all equipment is reachable for a wheelchair user. The dining table can easily be moved outside to the covered terrace. This villa has been specially adapted for wheelchair access.
 

The master bedroom has an electric hoist over the bed and an en suite bathroom which has been set up for disabled used with a low level shower with wheelchair access.

There are two types of accessible rooms at The Mirage: Standard Accessible and Fully Accessible (with roll-in shower and "Handi-Move" electronic lift equipment for those in wheelchairs). Fully Accessible Rooms 

Fully Accessible rooms have all the same features as the Standard Accessible Rooms, as well as the following features for those in wheelchairs: 

Handimover electronic bedroom lift enables a person to be transferred from a wheelchair to the bed with or without assistance from a companion. Bed is lowered to height of 22 inches above the floor. Maximum weight allowed is 300 pounds.

This private luxury villa is situated in a new gated community in the Davenport area. The villa backs onto a conservation area and small lake. The villa has been built to accommodate all holiday makers regardless of their physical ability. Disney World is just a 10 minute drive from the villa, Sea World and Universal Studios are 20 minutes away, Kennedy Space Center and the coasts are within easy reach. 

Features for our disabled guests include widened doors on the ground floor, level access to all external doors and a specially adapted bathroom with wheel-in shower, shower seat, Toto toilet/bidet drop down grab bars and plenty of space for transfer. 

To make your stay even easier we have installed a fully electric ceiling track hoist in the master suite between bedroom and bathroom and an electric profiling bed with height adjustment. 

The covered pool area includes a wide pool deck for safe and easy wheelchair use and an electric pool hoist which is positioned to allow access to both the 28ft X 14ft pool and the spa.
