"CHuC is delighted to have received sponsorship from IHG.  Their support in this way has enabled us to get our distinctive new logo designed, which we hope will become known around the world.  More importantly it has enabled us to employ someone part-time to undertake research and development work.  This will build links with disability organisations around the world to increase ceiling hoist users’ knowledge of hoist availability and raise their expectations of having this fundamental need met in away from home accommodation.  It will also help us to research the further availability of accommodation with hoists, particularly outside the UK, and build our website information database.  By raising the profile and gathering information on the need we can persuade those who could install hoists, to do so.  We are therefore really grateful to IHG for their generosity.  Thank you IHG!!"

IHG win yet another prestigious award for accessibility.

At the Visit London Awards 2007 held on 29 November at indigO2 at O2 they claimed the Gold Award for Accessible Tourism.

One of the reasons for winning the award was due to IHG's decision to install ceiling track hoists in two of their flagship Holiday Inn hotels in London and the Crowne Plaza at Heathrow.

Ceiling hoists are now available in these London and Heathrow hotels

There are separate tracks in the bedroom and bathroom with a transportable hoist which can be easily moved from one track to the other.
