Lostwithiel, Cornwall - is a converted barn, with ceiling hoist, profiling
electric bed, adapted kitchen, and ensuite bath/shower facilities, sleeping

Strode Park Foundation - Herne Bay - Kent offers two
beautifully equipped self catering holiday bungalows, designed
to enable disabled people and their families to enjoy a holiday
break in tranquil surroundings. Each Bungalow has two double
bedrooms with single beds, one of which is height adjustable.
Overhead tracking with electric hoist run from each bedroom into
the shower/toilet.
No 31 - Christchurch - Dorset is a self-catering wheelchair
accessible bungalow. The owner is a wheelchair user and has
lived happily there from 1996 to 2005. Separate ceiling hoists
in main bedroom and the bathroom. Both ceiling hoists are
battery back up powered, so they will function in the event of a
power cut.
Beach Lodge - Felpham - Sussex is an adapted 5 bedroom house
overlooking the sea. A large adapted property for wheelchair
users suits larger parties of up to 9. The house has three twin
rooms, one double and one single, bed linen is not included.
Access to this split-level property is via a lift. Ceiling track

Seagulls - Selsey Bill - Sussex is a three bedroomed
bungalow right on the coast. Adapted to provide good wheelchair
access. The bungalow is right on the Coastal Walk, which runs
past the entrance to the drive. It sleeps six in three twin

The New Barn offers friendly, family style accommodation in a brand new
state of the art building with 10 twin en-suite accessible rooms, for up to
20 guests. All the rooms have overhead hoists which can go from over the bed

Original Barn has now been turned into a unit let as self-catering
accommodation (6 twin bedrooms - with overhead hoist in 2 rooms). There are excellent views towards Poole
Harbour and the surrounding countryside.
The dining room balcony is a favourite sitting area to watch birds or enjoy
the views across Poole Harbour to the Purbeck Hills beyond.
The
sitting room veranda (facing south) opens up to a sheltered paved area,
garden with raised beds and wildlife pond. THE BARN offers flexible
accommodation suitable for disabled people, carers and those looking for a
break from the stresses and strains of life or work.
Petasfield Stables & Cottages - Hertford, Hertfordshire. There are 4
cottages converted from stables. Ashwell Cottage has a double bedroom and a
galleried second bedroom that also sleeps two. The cottage has a large
comfortable sofa bed in the living area. The furniture can be arranged to
suit your tastes so that you feel completely at home. All cottages have
Broadband internet access. There is a voyager ceiling track hoist and a
wheel in shower.

The
Axcess 55 and 65 provide
a host of accessibility features amongst which is a post
mounted hoist. Whilst this isn't as versatile as a ceiling
track hoist it can still be used with confidence by just one carer and we consider this to be an excellent alternative and worthy of being included on CHuC.
